Engr. (Prof.) Edilberto Uy

Engr. (Prof.) Edilberto Uy serves as the Chairman of Sharetech Consulting Limited, bringing more than three decades of engineering, academic, and industrial experience to the company's leadership. His distinguished career reflects a lifelong commitment to advancing engineering excellence, particularly within the sugar manufacturing and processing industry.

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Cebu Institute of Technology in the Philippines, where he later joined the academic staff and became a Professor of Chemical Engineering. Throughout his academic career, he lectured at the Cebu Institute of Technology as well as other institutions offering Chemical Engineering programmes, contributing to the development of future generations of engineers.

Beyond academia, Prof. Uy has accumulated over 35 years of practical experience working with sugar mills and sugar refineries across the Philippines. His extensive industry background covers plant operations, process improvement, technical advisory, and engineering support for sugar production facilities. Today, he continues to serve as a consultant to several sugar mills and refineries, providing strategic technical guidance and operational expertise.

Prof. Uy is an active member of several professional organizations within the global sugar industry and has presented numerous technical papers at international sugar conferences. His combination of academic excellence, industrial experience, and technical leadership provides valuable strategic direction for Sharetech Consulting as it delivers engineering solutions to clients across diverse industries.
